Increase your Running SPeed With one stretch

Did you know that you can increase your running speed with stretching alone? It may seem hard to believe but the reason why is quite simple.

Understanding the functionality of your joints is key. When you can increase the range of motion of your joints, you're able to move with more ease because it requires less effort on your body. When your body can make bigger movements with less effort, you become faster.

Stretching doesn't get the credit it deserves to not only maintaining the health of your body but improving the body's overall performance levels when active. Stretching is often seen as an afterthought but today I'm going to take you through one stretch that can improve your running performance by increasing your speed. I've worked with marathon runners before using this stretch and the result is always faster and more comfortable running.

Remember to start off slow. Always use a slow and steady load when stretching your ligaments. You can start off with the 1 minute time frame, but I would suggest increasing it up to 3 minutes for each modification as you become more familiar with this stretch. 

Higher performance levels don't always come from high activity. Sometimes taking the time to nurture ourselves brings about the shift that will take us to the next level.
